Genius Freak

In love with the creative, the brave, the kind, the brilliant, the generous, the crazy, and the hopeful

I am a fervent advocate of daily journal writing in school. Unfortunately, I sometimes don’t make time for it, but I am always sorry when that happens.

Journals are where students get to practice writing, and too often we forget the need to practice and want everything to “count.” Journals are where students get to play with vocabulary, or figure out their thoughts on content, or try out different sentence structures. All of the counts.
